Design for a compact food service unit based on a converted shipping container, developed for flexible deployment in food courts, markets, and event spaces.
The project focused on organising a limited footprint to support efficient workflow, clear preparation and service zones, and reliable day-to-day operation in high-traffic environments.
Using a shipping container as the base structure allowed for a robust, transportable unit with reduced material use compared to conventional construction, while also enabling relocation and reuse in different locations over time.
Particular attention was given to the relationship between the service counter, customer visibility, and the internal working sequence, ensuring the space remains practical for staff while presenting a strong and recognisable front.
